Privacy Policy
1. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide when creating an account — including your name, email address, and phone number. We also collect the invoices, quotes, and client data you create through the Service; payment data processed on your behalf through Razorpay; and WhatsApp messages you send to interact with the Service.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to provide and improve the Service, process your subscription payments, respond to support requests, send transactional notifications (such as invoice confirmations), and comply with our legal obligations under Indian law.
3. Third-Party Service Providers
We share your data with trusted third-party processors that help us deliver the Service. These include Razorpay for payment processing and subscription billing, 360dialog for WhatsApp Business API messaging, and Supabase for database storage and authentication. Each provider processes data only as necessary to perform services on our behalf and is bound by appropriate data protection agreements.
4. Data Residency
Your data is stored on Supabase servers in the ap-south-1 (Mumbai) region. Your data stays in India.
5. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you cancel your account, we will delete your personal data within 90 days, unless retention is required by applicable law (for example, GST records required by Indian tax law).
6. Your Rights Under the DPDP Act
Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to correct inaccurate data, and to request deletion of your data. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at hello@sharkinvoice.com. We will respond within 30 days.
7. Cookies
We use session and authentication cookies that are essential for the Service to function. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.
8. Security
We protect your data using encryption in transit (TLS) and encryption at rest. We follow standard security practices for SaaS applications, including access controls and regular security reviews.
9. Children
The Service is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If we become aware that we have collected data from a minor, we will delete it promptly.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or through the Service. Continued use of the Service after notice constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
